Thanakorn Rojanasasitornwong is currently a junior majoring in Operations Research and Information Engineering at the College of Engineering. Previously, on CU Geodata’s Water Team, he utilized the QGIS software to analyze the spatial relationship between various water quality indicators and potential sources, as well as perform analysis on the catchment site data from the Kirchner study at Sage Hen Creek. The analyzed data will help identify potential sources, such as fertilizer runoff, that are contributing to poor water quality in the Cayuga Lake area and beyond. This summer, he will be applying his knowledge in the field of data analytics to help solve problems in businesses and institutions. After graduating, Thanakorn plans to pursue a career in the field of data science.
