Sam Jurado

Sam Jurado is majoring in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in Cornell's College of Engineering. On CU GeoData's air team, he led the design and fabrication of the tethersonde system during his freshman and sophomore years. Sam currently directs and enables the continual development of GeoData's instrumentation projects. Outside of GeoData, Sam conducts research with the National Center for Ecological Research's (NCEAS) Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Flux Gradient Working group, a collaboration between Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Columbia, UC Santa Barbara, North Carolina State University, and the National Ecological Observation Network (NEON). He currently works as a researcher in the Matthes Group at Harvard Forest, where he studies land-atmosphere interactions and drought risk. When he is not working, he enjoys staring contently at his rocks and minerals collection.
