Raashid Husain is a second-year undergraduate student studying Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. Raashid is currently a member of the Rock Team with CU GeoData. Currently, his focus is on using the correlation between publicly-sourced satellite imagery datasets, ground-truth measurements, and mine ownership changes to discover leaching from the Empire State Mine. By collaborating with Cornell faculty and conducting field work, Raashid hopes to contribute valuable data analyses to the Rock Team's current endeavors and research.
