Linda Marone is majoring in Earth and Atmospheric Science in Cornell’s College of Engineering. On CU GeoData’s Water Subteam, she makes critical contributions to QGIS visualizations of water quality and land usage around Lake Cayuga. Her QGIS visualizations will be used to help build a predictive model for Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) and improve our understanding of the spatial correlation between land usage, water quality, and HABs. She is also currently partnering with the Finger Lakes Association to make visualizations to aid their monitoring of water quality in the finger lakes region.
