Dora Xu is a senior majoring in Information Science in Cornell's College of Computing and Information Science and minoring in Biometry and Statistics. On Tech Team, she is helping to build a Synthetic Aperture Radar Drone that will produce high resolution images from radar reflections off the ground. It will be used to help with weather surveillance and soil moisture monitoring. On Rock Team, she is working to analyze satellite data surrounding the Empire State Mine region and observe consequences of mine tailings. On Data Team, she is collaborating on publishing compiled educational materials about data analysis on the GeoData website and leading team workshops about critical data science techniques. After graduating, Dora plans to do an M. Eng in Operations Research.
