Aya Saute is a second-year undergraduate student studying environmental engineering at Cornell University. On CU Geodata's Rock team, she working on observing how the changes in ownership at the Empire State Mine in Gouverneur relate to changes in the presence of zinc tailings and deposits around the mine and their effects on the surrounding environment through NDVI.
